Sense Together

SenS2 technology uses advanced radar system to care for individuals with dementia and their family members. We sense your loved one’s day to day routine whilst prioritising their privacy and independence.

Challenges

For people with dementia, staying independent and in their own homes often brings a sense of happiness and comfort. However, this can come with its own set of challenges, as they may:

  • Find it difficult to explain their needs and how they change over time
  • Experience restlessness, sometimes causing them to leave their homes
  • Have disrupted sleep patterns, leading to restlessness at night

Those caring for people with dementia may experience:

  • Balancing time between caregiving responsibilities and personal commitments
  • Anxiety caused by not knowing how their loved one is coping day-to-day
  • Difficulty in spending quality time together, as much time is spent diagnosing and resolving issues

We want to change that.

Our unobtrusive remote monitoring system for people with dementia is thoughtfully designed to prioritise privacy and dignity without relying on cameras or microphones, ensuring minimal disruption to the individual’s daily life.

This system empowers people with dementia to maintain their independence, preserve their autonomy, and support a sense of self-esteem.

For carers, it reduces anxiety, stress, and the burden of constant monitoring often associated with traditional or improvised systems, such as security cameras. Carers receive straightforward, timely text-based updates, with adjustable levels of detail to meet their unique needs, aiming to provide peace of mind while supporting their loved ones.

INDEPENDENCE

The hub is designed to be easy to live with, requiring no interaction from the individual at home, by utilising a plug-and-play hub that communicates with carers through messaging platforms.

PRIVACY

By using novel radar technology, rather than cameras or microphones, the hub prioritises the privacy and dignity of the individual.

PEACE OF MIND

We aim to provide easy-to-understand, timely message updates to carers, enabling them to intervene early and spend quality time with their loved ones in meaningful ways.

Radar Technology

Radar, or Radio Detection and Ranging, is a technology that uses radio waves to detect, locate, and track objects.

Radars are already commonly found in the home environments, for example most modern cars use parking sensor radars to help the driver.

Our system leverages radio signals similar to modern internet signals to detect movement, and infer patterns of life.
